Would you like to be a Village Council member?
The Cocoanut Grove Village Council is having elections on November 7, nine seats are up for election. You are welcome to put your name on the ballot.
Each Member of the Council shall be a registered voter and shall have resided within Coconut Grove (specifically within the boundaries as set for the within Article II, Section, I, in which the composition of Coconut Grove is defined), for a period of not less than twelve (12) months prior to his or her election or appointment as a Member.
Each Elected Member will be expected to participate in at least one of the standing committee’s which are;
• Transportation
• Civic & Cultural Life
• Commercial & Retail
• Parks & Public Spaces
• Housing & Zoning
The Village Council usually meets the third Friday of each month at City Hall, from about 6 to 9 pm.
If you meet the requirements please fill out the Cocoanut Grove Village Council Qualification form which is here on their Facebook page and include a copy of Valid Driver’s License, Voter Registration card and Filing fee and deliver to:
