Updates on the waterfront

Dinner Key Marina and Seminole Boat Ramps are operational. The marina has a large number of docks and pilings damaged by Hurricane Irma that need replacement, as well as re-establishing electric service to many of the vessels docked in the marina. Construction is scheduled to begin in April.

New Parking Garage and Seminole/Meyers parking has started tree removal and relocation. The Office of Capital Improvements will oversee the Meyers Park/Seminole boat ramp project. Consultants will be hired to begin the design and permitting of the project.

Regatta Park sailing events have gone well, with the sailing season still ongoing. The proposed walkway from the park to the boat ramps is being overseen by the City's Office of Capital Improvements for formulating a design. There were discussions of corporate sponsors to help the nonprofit sailing groups have larger and more organized events.

The next Waterfront Implementation Committee meeting is Wednesday, March 14 at 5:30 at City Hall, 3500 Pan American Drive.
